not so great for south cali

I got this one based on the reviews all saying how great this product is, both me and my friend bought it and we didn't think they are that great.
We live in south California, and I have normal skin. I dislike the texture of this hand creme, it's thick and hard to spread it around your hands, after I applied it, my hands feel all sticky and it does last quite a while but I feel like I want to wash it off cus it's so sticky!!
My friend, who has really dry skin, doesn't think it's hard to apply but she thinks it doesn't last long for a hand creme.
The scent is a turn off too, I know it's all natural, but it's not pleasing. I've tried the almond hand creme and that one goes on my hand a lot easier and is easy to spread around and doesn't make my hands sticky, so I think I'll stick with the Almond one.

Awful scent

The smell of the Hemp hand protector is awful. Highly recommend any other scent but this one. The other hand lotions are great but this gets a 2 star due to the horrible smell.

This product is fantastic. Most hand lotion soaks in just enough to make it feel nice but then when you wash your hands, you get slimy residue. This lotion is a real protector and does not wash off. It is super rich so you do not need much and the tube lasts for a long time.
It has an interesting smell and it is not too feminine so both men and women like it just fine.

The best and only healing lotion

I am a professional musician, and I wash my hands a lot due to the number of hands that touch the pianos I play--especially kids'. It is not uncommon for my hands to crack and bleed, especially in cold weather. This is the only product I have ever found that keeps my skin from cracking. I'm so happy I found it. I carry it with me everywhere, and always use it at night (on my hands and feet) before going to bed.

Great product, not so great odor

This is a great product....except for the odor. I, unfortunately, cannot use it because I cannot tolerate the smell of it. It works great though. My hands were very soft and supple. I'm sure if the you are not bothered by the smell this would be an awesome product for you!

Best Hand Protector Ever

I am a nurse so I constantly wash my hands, this is the only product I have ever used that my hands do not split or crack during the winter. The lotion is nongreasy so you can start back to work right away. I recommend it to coworkers all the time, the price is worth the results you get with this product.

The Best for Winter Skin

I live in a dry climate and my hands used to constantly crack during the winter. The hemp hand cream is the best thing I have ever tried! Although I'm not a huge fan of the scent, it dissipates quickly and the results more than outweigh this one downside. The cream absorbs very quickly and leaves my hands feeling soft and supple, never greasy. I splurge on the big tubes but they last me forever since a little bit goes a long way. This cream goes with me everywhere!

I love Body Shop products. I have a daughter with OCD who washes her hands constantly and they are a mess. Dry, red and painful. This is the only thing that helps!! While we are working on her disorder, the hemp hand protector really does protect. It calms her pain, relieves redness and moisterizes deeply. Body Shop has sales constantly so if you are on their email list, you can get great products at a discount. She has it in her soccer bag, locker, purse and bathroom. (and she will steal mine from my purse in a pinch) We love the earthy smell, nothing too perfumy and it fades quickly. Love it, love it, love it!!

I have very dry skin, to the point that my skin cracks in the winter, and I was desperate to find something that would help. This stuff is my solution. It is thick and kind of greasy so if you don't have dry skin you might find it to be too much but if you have really dry skin this stuff will offer you some peace. I only really use it at night since it seems too thick for day time use.

I am a hairdresser and especially in the winter my hands will crack and bleed. I got a tube of this for a gift and have been using it for years since then. Other products do no have the healing properties that this does. I too only use it at night because nothing stays on during the day being that my hands are in water all day. It is also great on your feet. Love this stuff!

Nice hand cream, like the natural herbal fragrance

I ordered this hand cream when it was on sale, as I wanted to try the Best seller TBS product. I tried it immediately after opening the package and I liked it. This has a nice herbal flavor which is TBS's specialty that they don't use any artificial fragrances and chemicals. It works well, but I am yet to try it for couple of weeks to know its effect on my dry hands. I hope it will make them young and fresh looking again.

I bought the Hemp Hand Protector, because my hands always get dry after washing baby bottles and giving my daughter baths. This stuff really works; however I do have to say that my hands feel a little greasy right after I put it on, but that goes away. Some people say the smell isn't very pleasant and smells medicinal, the smell doesn't bother me.

I started out using the intense hand butter, but I found the butter a little too greasy, so I only used that right before bed. Then I saw this going on sale and decided to give it a try. This is definitely your regular everyday hand cream. It's easy to absorb and not greasy at all. And it lasts a long time even after you wash your hands. I am not too crazy about the scent of the hemp line, but it doesn't bother me too much. I will keep on buying this product that's for sure.

I read the reviews on this product and I agreed with most of them - both the good and the bad. The bad is the smell. It does stink and it is a pretty strong odor that doesn't go away for awhile. I'd describe it as medicinal.
That being said, it really works. My hands are so much softer and those flaky patches are gone. And as a treat, I use it on my feet (as suggested by some of the reviewers) and it has made a tremendous impact there.
Overall, once you get over the smell, you will be amazed at how soft your hands feel. I use it at night before I go to bed.

I recently received this at the half off price. Glad I did! It instantly makes my hands feel so much better. I was very surprised to discover that the scent of this hand protector is much lighter than the hemp body butter(which I love)! It's good for my very dry nails too.
