So I have a VERY annoyingly, itchy scalp. So much so, a day after shampooing I am scratching like crazy. This shampoo is VERY soothing and effective. The moment you put it on your scalp you can feel it sink in and soothe the irritation. It has a very cooling, soothing effect. The only slightly minus point is that it smells slightly medicinal (not too much. Maybe it's just me?) However don't let that bother you, since it WORKS. I use a fragrant conditioner to give the hair a nice smell. If you have an irritating itchy scalp - go for it!

Soothes Itchy Scalp

I have awful itchy scalp in the winter months and this shampoo instantly relieves the itch. I personally love the ginger smell. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to soothe an itchy, dry scalp.

I developed an issue with dry scalp and a strange waxy spot on my crown last year. This is the only shampoo that eliminates both! It also makes my hair super shiny.

I like the scent and the consistency. I dislike that it can be too powerful and dry out my hair. Over all a good product but be sure to pair it with a good conditioner.

Plenty of Parabens!

This shampoo worked great, but after purchasing it - i noticed that it has 4 different kinds of parabens in it! I was disappointed in TBS this time.

Ginger scalp care is one of the best shampoo i have ever used. I always keep extra in my stock. It relieves itchy scalp and combats dandruff. I think it should be available at the stores too besides online.

I have prescription shampoo but it costs a lot, so I use this shampoo for regular use. It works almost as good as the prescription stuff and is way cheaper.

My scalp gets rather dry when the weather gets cold, so decided to give the Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo a try. My scalp felt better afterwards- and my hair was soft and had a nice smell to it.

I have been using H&S for the last few yrs and had this recurring flaky scalp problem..I tried a couple of other brands, but some were too oily & some too dry..I finally decided to give this product a shot & the results have been amazing....no more flaky scalp, hair feels clean & healthy...love the scent! definitely recommend..

It is a fantastic product! I have been using this for several months and it works well. My scalp problem has been improved. No doubt that I will be committed to the Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo.

This is THE BEST shampoo for dry, flaky, itchy scalp! I have tried so many different products to remedy my scalp, and nothing has worked until this shampoo. I absolutely love it. I have not had any dry, flaky, or itchy scalp since starting to use this product. I highly recommend this shampoo!!!

A good shampoo for dry scalp

I have very dry, flaky scalp and bought this shampoo as a final resort to my dry scalp and it seems to have worked the most among other dandruff shampoos.

i have suffered from dandruff and itchy scalp for a long time now and nothing has work on my hair problem until i tried this...OMG it works! my scalp always feels so good after i shower with this, i LOVE it so much i have stocked up on it because it's always sold out, that's how amazing it is, pls pls pls dont discontinue this, it really saved my itchy scalp, u have no idea how badly it itch until i was able to try this shampoo. i sometimes put a drop or two of their tea tree oil once in awhile to do a heavy duty job and it works for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE ginger shampoo!!!

I have all kinds of hair issues: itchy with some dandruff due to my job where I am in humidity conditions all day, oily scalp, damaged hair from color and blowdrying. This ginger scalp shampoo is gentle and mourishing, but you can feel it working when you scrub into your scalp in the shower. I use this in combination daily with the Rainforest Balance shampoo, they are the only products that work for my hair, and I have tried many other things with failure.
*PLEASE NEVER DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!!

Heavenly Scent, Amazing Results!

This is the most gentle and fragrant dandruff shampoo you can get. I love the scent. It's very strong and lasts all day in my hair. I use this shampoo daily because my hair is very prone to dandruff. It's gentle enough to take care of the dandruff but not damage my hair (:

This is one of the few shampoos that cleans and softens my hair without having to use a conditioner, too. Add to that a delicious, refreshing ginger scent, and scalp-soothing properties, and you've got one of the best shampoos out there!!!

Worth a Try

Terrible scalp problems for years, getting worse. Not dandruff by more like hives. Taking xyzal and heavy duty prescribed shampoos aren't cutting it so thought I would try kindler-gentler. Encouraged by the good reviews. I actually think it is working. Purchased more so my husband could try it instead of the over-the-counter dandruff shampoos.

I've always had problems due to buildup on my oil scalp. I've tried harsh shampoos like T-Gel and so many formulas with zinc pyrithione which have only relieved the problem somewhat and for only a few uses. This is a great alternative to those shampoos. I am disappointed that this contains sulfates because I color my hair but I don't feel that this dries out my scalp as much as other drug store sulfate shampoos. I absolutely recommend this to even people who don't have severe seborrheic dermatitis.
