This lotion is the best. It is not greasy and goes on smoothly. Love the scent and I have noticed how much my skin has become less dry. Would recommend this lotion to anyone with dry skin.

The Best Every Day Body Butter!

I have been a fan of the Aloe Body Butter ever since it became a part of the TBS line. It goes on smooth and creamy, but doesn't leave behind any residue - just the feeling of moisturized skin. Plus, a little goes a long way!
The absolute best part - it is hypoallergenic (great for my sensitive skin), dye and fragrance free, and preservative free! I can only hope that TBS makes the entire line of body butters preservative free; it's better for our bodies and our environment.
To date, only the Aloe and Coconut body butters are preservative free. I love their Almond and Brazil Nut scents, but had to stop purchasing those due to the parabens they contain. I use body butter on a daily basis, so reducing the amount of preservatives I expose myself to contributes to my health while still having happy skin.

This butter Is perfect for my two boys. They have very dry skin and don't like smelly stuff. I put it on them and they are as soft as a baby. No smell. Perfect for them.

Aloe Body Butter is my number one choice because it is fragrance free. I use it on my legs, then use another subtly fragranced lotion on arms. I am therefore not ovewhelmed with all-over scent.
I also like aloe body butter because it has a good rating on the Environmental working Group website, meaning it is not harmful to put on your skin.
Another plus is that it is very moisturizing. Great for dry and sensitive skin.
I am rarely faithful to a body lotion,,,,but this one I continue to buy.

I must say I've used 5 other body butters from the Body Shop and this one leaves my skin way more moisturized then the rest. I have very dry skin and this butter moisturizes without that greasy feeling left behind. I really love this product and will be purchasing another jar once its all out!!!

the best body butter ever!

this is my all time favorite body shop product. i always have a tub on hand. it is perfect for the summer when you get a little too much sun. i also use it after shaving my legs. it is super moisturizing without being too heavy. it has a light, clean scent and is not irritating to sensitive skin. i would HIGHLY recommend this product!!

Great butter!

I love the aloe body butter! It has no scent and is for sensitive skin, so it makes a great gift. It really soothes irritated skin (including that a few days post-tattoo super sensitive skin). I was already using different body butter, but I ran to TBS a few days after getting a large tattoo done and the aloe butter was the best thing for my sore skin. As other customers indicated, it feels great on sunburned and post-waxing skin as well. Great multi-purpose butter!

Good, but I don't like the smell.

This works just as well as all of the other body butters, but I really don't like the smell of this product. The aloe is a little weird smelling.

This body butter is good for sensitive skin, but I exchanged it for a lighter scent (Pink Grapefruit) and I am very happy with it. Better luck next time. :)

Lighter Body Butter

The Aloe Body Butter is lighter than the Vitamin E butter, but still moisturizes really well. You will not feel greasy at all applying this. There isn't really any scent to it though, but I'm not sure how TBS can make a natural aloe scent either so I'm not complaining ;)

We use the Aloe Body Butter a lot during the summer. When we get too much sun, it works quickly to sooth burned or irritated skin, all while locking in needed moisture. We have ditched the stickly, aloe-based sunburn relief gels in favor of this. Great stuff, especially after waxing or shaving. It's safe for our sensitive skin & I even use it on my babies!

Transformed my skin!

I was having a problem with razor burn on my legs after shaving and tried many lotions from drug stores. I finally got my hands on this aloe body butter and it has transformed my skin! Within a couple weeks my legs were clear again. Now I use it regularly when I get out of the shower, especially after shaving. And it's so funny because right after I shave I can already feel my skin becoming itchy and irritated. After I apply the lotion, my skin is soothed and soft and stays clear. It's instant relief! This product is awesome and I highly recommend to anyone having issues with icky razor burn. It is worth the price and the body butter lasts me a good 3-4 months. What I loved even more was the fact that the woman helping me at The Body Shop said that I could return the product if it didn't work or made my skin worse. Great customer service!

I bought this for summer because I have eczema and sensitive skin, and thought aloe body butter sounded perfect (dry skin aggravates eczema). And it is! I can use it every day, and its really nice after a shower. I live in the desert, so my skin actually sucks up the body butter. I have to apply a LOT of it at once in one area (like if I concentrate it on my elbows), or put it on too many times a day (3 times is too many) for it to feel greasy. Anyone who lives in the desert knows how bad (dry and itchy) your feet can get, so at night I slather this all over my feet (especially my heels) and put those bright fuzzy socks on that they're selling everywhere, and my feet look and feel fantastic. I love it, and I think I'll try the Vitamin E body butter next!

this was my first body butter that i have ever purchased in my life & i was really impressed. i always had the notion that body butters would be greasy & a little too much for the skin, but i tried it out anyway since my cousin said she loved her body butter (she got hers at sephora). so i bought this one & emptied it within a month. it's not greasy, but it is very moisturizing. i just absolutely love body butters now! currently using the shea body butter & i'm planning on trying all of the fragrances that appeal to me. i voted the "value" of the body butter kind of low because i personally thought it was kind of expensive (i buy them anyway) ... it was $18 when i bought this aloe one, but now it's $19!

Practically Perfect in Every Way

I am extremely satisfied with this product, and intend to keep it in my daily routine for the rest of my life, if TBS permits. As a butter, it is heavier than a lotion, but lighter than some other rich creams--the Vitamin E butter, for example. It keeps my skin moisturized all day, and does not have any irritating effects. With this butter, I can use the same product for after-sun, after-shaving, after-wind-chill, and after a regular old bare-minimum shower. Fragrance-wise, this product is perfect for people who prefer or require an unscented moisturizer. There is only the slightest fragrance--very subtle, if not undetectable. As a perfume wearer, I will not layer multiple scents. I do not want to be one of those women whose scent is so strong and confusing that passersby have to sniff coffee beans to regain their senses. Now, body butters are pricey--and whether or not they are worth the money doesn't matter if a person simply cannot afford the cost. I stock up with each 3 for $30 deal.
