This is the best lotion

We don't have body shop nearby, so always stock up in airports, and occasionally online. Love the stuff -- the moisture lasts so long, but isn't greasy. It is really expensive, but seems there is almost always some sale available if you are buying a few.

MUST have moisturizer!

My girlfriend (the one who always has the BEST cosmetics) gave me shea body butter as a gift. Since we don't have Body Shops in Montana, I have to order it (3 at a time!) but it's worth it. It's the BEST moisturizer and works ALL day. I have visited 3 dermatologists for dry, itchy skin, and this is the only lotion that actually makes my skin better. Plus it smells amazing but is subtle - it reminds me of summer and sun.

Awesome Product

I have been using this product for several years. I am 56 years old and punished my skin as a teenager. I am more than cautious now with the products I use on my skin. I have found this lotion to be excellent. It has a wonderful scent, goes on smoothly and lasts for a very long time. It has been a miracle on some of those "tough spots" such as elbows, knees and heels. I just love it and will not use anything else. I highly recommend!!!

VERY Moisturizing

I bought this a long time ago and I still have a considerable amount left- so the value is great! However, this product is a little too heavy fro my skin. It doesn't make me greasy or oily, but I like my products to absorb and leave my skin feeling soft instead of... lotiony? When I put this on my legs it will moisturize for a loong time without wearing off but I can feel a sort of dragging sensation on my legs. If you have very dry skin- like this product calls for, then this is a fantastic product. I don't particularly love the scent but it is in no way heavy or unpleasant. If you have very dry skin, this is an amazing product.

Love this body butter

This body butter is great!! The smell is minimal so I can still wear perfume without having clashing scents. It only takes a little and this particular body butter is great for the bikini line.

Works the best

No matter how much moisturizer I put on, I've always had problems with my legs getting dry later in the day. The Shea Butter consistently solves this problem, without being greasy or oily, or ruining my clothes or furniture. The scent is lovely, and I've never had an allergic reaction. Highly recommend!

Mmmm! Love it

My daughter gave the Shea body butter to me as a Christmas gift. I was so happy. The smell is soft and wonderful. What it does for my dry skin is fantastic! I have since purchased more on my own.

best product ever

i love the shea butter scrub and body butter so much that i hardly ever want to try anything else anywhere else...(i do occasionally switch things up and use the coconut body scrub and/or the satsuma body wash... both of which are awesome products).
to me the smell (sweet but not too sweet, a little nutty... reminds me of Mediterranean summers) is the best thing about this product but the moisturizing factor does not hurt either ;) i am sorry but the shower cream and the body lotion just don't do it for me. chocomania body lotion though... oh that's another review...
as i was saying, i cannot get enough of the shea scrub and the body butter... no, seriously... so could you please bring back the jumbo tubs??? please...???
ps: i haven't detected anything different in the new batch, but if i do, i will be very disappointed because i think this product is PERFECT the way it's been.

My Favorite Body Butter!

I've tried many of The Body Shop's body butters, and this is my absolute favorite. I love the subtle, clean scent and the creamy, rich consistency. It's so soothing on my very dry and sensitive skin, and leaves my skin glowing. I just love it!

SAD ABOUT THE NEW SMELL

The Shea Body Butter has been a favorite of mine for years, so it seemed a no-brainer to order it online with my last purchase. I noticed a difference in the cover design but thought nothing of it till my then-current moisturizer finished and I opened it up. It now has a decidedly burnt/spicy smell, in a not so very pleasant way. It still moisturizes but I am very sad!

Extremely neutral BB

I really love this BB. The scent is not offensive at all. I don't see the "old lady" scent either. It just smells wonderfully neutral and a little nutty to me and I really love it. Good for winter too, but not as heavy as the Hemp BB.

One of my top 3 body butters, easily. This scent is what moisturizers aspire to be when they grow up. It is thick, creamy deliciousness. When I think of body butter, it is this Shea that I think of. This is a must have for anyone. If you are reading this wondering where you should start or what you absolutely must have, this is it. Pure, basic, rich, heavenly moisture. It is a light, clean scent, that simply smells like Shea butter.

I'm REALLY not sure why there are as many neg reviews as there are... This is the MOST moisturizing Body Butter I've experienced. The scent is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE - not too "earthy"/nutty scent (which I love!) but not overly perfumed either! If I could explain the scent I'd say sweet and creamy nutty scent. SO GOOD! And the TEXTURE?!?!? OMG!! Some people said that it was a little difficult to spread/rub on - ONLY if your skin is lacking moisture... I did do two applications BECAUSE my skin was dry. The texture is SOOOOOOOO super smooth and creamy! I could tell an IMMEDIATE difference in my skin! I have KP (Keratosis Pilaris) and i can already tell this will be a permanent fixture! ESPECIALLY for my arms where my KP is the worse. Texture, Scent, Quality = PERFECT! I like to put it on right after I pat dry after a shower... That's the best!

Too Strong....

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, this is way too strong. I don't remember this scent being so strong. I returned this and ALL of the Shea line back to the store. The formulation is still awesome though.....Please tone this down a few notches......

Almost perfect....

I really like this cream.
The scent, however, is nice--but somehow wrong. The other reviewer said it best: kind of Grandma-ey (floral, in a nice way), but I don't think of it, or want it, as a nut butter scent. I will go back to Hemp.

Horrible Perfume Scent!

Just purchased this body butter and the scent is unbearable. It smells like VERY cheap (grandma) perfume. The former shea body butter was much gentler on the nose. Texture is still fine. But my goodness they need to change back to a gentle scent.
